Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General - Urgent Pls

Seeking your guidance on switching from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General and would be grateful if you can help me on this please

Initially I have been issued TIER 2 ICT : ESTABLISH STAFF visa in Apr 2011 from India and then entered to UK in Jun 2011 . As my visa was getting expire in Apr 2012 , I applied for renewal and I have been granted leave to remain till May 2014 under the category TIER 2 ICT : LONG TERM STAFF.

As stated above , after the visa renewed now I am under the TIER 2 ICT : LONG TERM category.

I would like to know - Can I switch to Tier 2 General and work for another sponsor ?

If you obtained entry clearance as T2 ICT Established Staff you must have applied before 6 April 2011 and you are allowed to switch to T2G provided you change sponsors.

Immigration rule 245HD states that the requirement for leave to remain in the Tier 2 General category is that:

"An applicant who has ...leave as a Tier 2 ICT migrant must have previously had leave as a Tier 2 ICT migrant ... in the Established Staff sub-category under the rules in place before 6 April 2011"

Yes I have applied entry clearance visa from India before 6th April 2011 and which was issues under the Establish Staff...now after renewal it got extended under the ICT : Long Term Staff.

So it concluded that I can change the sponsor ?

yes, you can switch from T2 ICT to T2G provided you satisfy the other conditions such as level of job, salary, etc.
