FYI, Entry Clearance only applies to applicants applying in their home country. Therefore the answer to your question is, it's the "valid from" date on the Work Permit Visa vignette in your passport.sujyo wrote:Confused further ....
Is EC date the the first Visa Issued date on the workpermit?Or is it the Visa issued date for the tier 1 general.
EC is only relevant if applying for a visa to enter the UK. You would do this while you are resident in your home country. Once you have entered the UK, if you want to extend your visa, what you apply for is "Leave to Remain".rainbow123 wrote:Hi cs95tdg,
In the dependant's application.
K1. Have you previously been granted leave as the dependant of the main applicant?
"granted leave" does it mean entry clearance or "leave to remain" ??
I think only the first application is referred to as entry clearance and after that all extension applications are referred to as leave to remain (except for ILR) ? IS this correct ?
