Waiting for biometric letter

hi all, same story for me. Can anyone help with processing times for replacement BRP? I lost my permit after I fell under a train.
21 june 12 - lodged police report and got police ref number
22 june 12 - cancelled old residence permit
23 june 12 - sent biometric replacement form to UKBA with police ref number
02 july 12 - money taken from account
08 august 12 - still no word about registering biometrics
Has anyone applied around the same time as me that's been more successful? Anyone have any idea how long this could take?
