HSMP and Self Employment

Hi, I am gonna apply for HSMP in mid of Jan.

I am self - employed web developer and running my own small setup of 3 employees. Before i apply i have few confusions and questions

1- Can i apply for period NOV 1ST 2005 - Dec 1st 2006 ? or do i need to show Straight Previous 12 months JAN 1st 2006 - 31st Dec 2006 ?

2- My TAX period finishes 31st July - so what should i do for period AUG 2006 - DEC 2006 ? what should i write about this period ?

3- They says for self-employeed , contract letters are needed - I can show few CONTRACT letters but not for all jobs i did.

I can show Payment slips , PRINTED statment from FREELANCE web sites, from where i get jobs , will that work ? Moreover, will these printed statements needed to be signed and stamped ?

4- For contract letters , is there any particular format needed. or it can be just a single page on the clients letter head ?
