Does the sponsor have to send their passport too?

Sorry stupid question, we are posting the docs in the morning and I just read someone else's post that they submitted the sponsors passport too.

As the sponsor I was just going to submit my birth certificate and certified copy of biog pages of my passport as evidence of my age.

Sponsors only submit their passports if they are with the applicant and wont need to travel.

Thanks. I am with my husband and will be waiting with him to travel back to the UK together - but I need my passport to use to my credit here and to check into hotels etc. I assume that sending my passport is voluntary and not compulsory?

Yes its optional, certified copies are fine.

Certify a copy of your passport from a solicitor and send that with the application.
