I guess this is a good sign? As they haven't yet received my appeal and appear to be actioning a review requested by my solictor.
The BHC in Delhi are being pro-active, very good sign, which means not only do they want to help you out in getting you, a VISA pretty swiftly, they may be intimidated by your solicitor, so well done you and your solicitor.

As with anything, all decisions and appeals have a lot of red tape involved as well, so it may be another month, before they action it entire and give you the call letter.

Things like this are very very good news.

Good luck.

UK Spouse Visa Accommodation / shared house evidence

Post by vj100 » Sat Aug 11, 2012 5:10 pm

Hi I am getting married in India next month and going to apply for UK spouse Visa soon after the wedding. My wife is an Indian National. I have gone through the UK Border agency website and now collating all the supporting documents. I live in a shared house, a double bed room, been living in the same house for almost 3 years but I am not very sure whether I can provide this accommodation to process the visa or I need to rent a separate apartment / house. My landlady and one other person I share the house with said they are happy to give any letter to process the application. Since the visa the processing takes about 2 months I was thinking of looking for a house after the visa is granted. Can you offer me some advice on this. Thanks

My wife will be applying for this Visa in VFS CHENNAI. I am thinking of going through a solicitor for help and advice, but they charge about £500 to help with the Visa. Not sure if its the right thing to do. Has anyone gone through this recently who can help me.

Update:

Went to BHC Delhi today, took a while explaining that i fulfill english requirement but I believe we go there in the end.

All parties agreed documents supplied were now suffice, was told to take a seat and wait.

A few hours later was called by ECO who advised i now see no issues in why you shouldnt be granted a visa however our systems are down-please come back tommorow or provide us with your passport and we will forward to VFS jalandar.

Advised my passport will be ready for collection Friday.

Mind you they did not say your visa will be granted-but I'm confident from what they did say it will be. Otherwise they wouldn't of asked me to come back or requested to keep hold of my passport.

No doubt it will should come back with visa stamped.

No appointment, was asked to send documents by courier or deliver by hand.

I would suggest anyone having issues with visas go and visit you local BHC.
