Hello shockboy2000

Thanking You for your reply.

I have submitted my College Letter for Medium of English and my Bachelor Degree is from University.

In that letter College has mension that " This college is affilated to so & so University. "

Is this ok or it is not acceptable?

Thanks

Hi Freebirds,

Since tuesday, I called them up many times, my payment took place on tuesday; but no reference number yet,

they say that it does not appear in the database yet.

disdil4u: this is being covered in thread "related to English Language Requirement"

i dont have a clue, i'm just a HSMP applicant (with lots of opinions) like everyone else.
I dont think Home Office will accept it on the basis "shockboy on HSMP forum said this evidence was ok" :)

ring work permits, but email them too (since it takes a few days to get answer) to get AN answer in writing. I say 'AN' because it still may not be correct as per what the caseworker will decide.

can somebody in this forum tell me , whether it is ok to send additional documents through my friend in UK ?

I sent my original documents from India , have not got my reference number yet.

I need to send some additional documents(Bank statements)

so to reduce postal delays, I am planning to send additional documents to my friend in UK now itself and he will forward the same when get I get a reference number.

Is this OK?

Hi Pam,

I think I'm in the same situation as you

Sent Application: 15th Dec
Application received (special delivery): 18th Dec
Got Ref # 28th Dec (starts with 201xxx)
I called today to follow up and was told a case worker has been assigned to my case but no decision made yet. They couldn't tell me anything else.

Mine is an in-country application - is yours?
Do you know what date your case worker was assigned?

Updates from anyone else with similar case much appreciated!

Decision awaitied :?: Wish me luck

In ur case, call them next week might be Mon or tuesday, ask for reference no.

Hi All,

Can any one please share what is the content of Ref. no. ?
Is it just a numeric serial number of application or
does it contain any applicant specific information like country of origin etc.?

I saw the following link on workingintheuk website.

http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... dvice.html

How do we contact the case worker through his personal mail ID or the business team ID as in the above link?

Pls. share your exp. folks.

Hi nnj10

Mine is just a six digit serial number. No reference to country of origin / gender or anything else.

Good luck

Hey Guys

I have finally got my reference number I had to call the HSMP team to get though. I sent the applicationon the 27th of Dec it arrived on the 28th payment cleared on the 2nd of Jan and I have a ref number sending an urgent request now. The person who answered the phone said "best of luck" it made me feel like I was playing the lottery.

Hi Guys,

After several phone calls, I just got the PAYMENT REFERENCE NUMBER, I paid through credit card.

No Application reference number yet.
Anyone in the similar situation?
How long does it take to assign the Application Reference Number, once the payment is cleared and the payment reference number is assigned to it?

Thanks,
NNJ10

Dont keep calling I have worked in a call centre and i should think there will be a probablity that you might speak to someone twice in a row or at least the peron sitting next to hm/her better sned an urgent request then call every 4 days but remeber you have to have a valid reason to send an urgent request

if i were working at Home Office - i would make sure your case got "extra special attention" if you called every day.

They do say not to call for 28 days on the letter...
