What is my job title if I registered as Sole Trader? PSW

Post by babyblue731 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 4:26 pm

Hi
I'm new to the forum.
Just start working on the visa thing, still confused about the job title.
I'm on PSW now, got the 50,000 ready in my bank account.
I'm planning to register as a sole trader, my business will be mainly selling jewry or accessories on ebay, just work on my own for start now.
It is requested that my job should be NQF level 4.
So the question is, can I still be marketing or sales manager myself when registered as a sole trader?
Thanks! :D

Selling trinkets on ebay is not a graduate level profession and you will have no chance of success with a Tier 1 (Ent) application on that basis!

Hi,
We have formed a company where we provide business development and marketing consultancy for a specific industry. In addition, to support the business and clients we also sell custom made products for branding.
our job titles are: Business development manager and marketing consultant.
Do you think the business and the job title is fine?
How about sales and marketing director as both of the title?

what if I open up a shop selling these then?

My masters degree is in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Any suggestions on other options of business?

Babyblue, I am ignoring the rude hijacking of your thread and in response to your last question, running a shop is not a graduate level (NQF 4) profession, whether or not you think so.

Okay, but do bear in mind that it's the business activity that matters rather than the title of the job you may be doing to administrate that business. You can't be the vice president in charge of mergers and acquisitions of a mini-cab firm and expect to get a Tier 1 (Ent) visa, as a taxi service is not a graduate level occupation.
