Good cheap Solicitor

Post by drRalph » Fri Aug 17, 2012 10:18 am

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor(Based in London) to do an ILR based on a 10 year residency that is not going to give me a heart attack when I see the bill?

Could you only recommend if you have used them, or know other that have please :D

To give you a general idea of what to expect, a competitive fee would be in the area of 1000 pounds. This would be in addition to the actual UKBA application fee.

Solicitor doesn't mean OISC Approved.

From my experience Solicitor always charged more than Qualify OISC members. So, i think you should look for OISC instead of Solicitor because OISC members are specialised in Immigration rules.

London area normally around £1k but if you search further north you can get around £500-600. It is your choices. If you want reference i can provide you but based in Manchester. PM me for more details if interested.

solicitors do not need to be approved by the Oisc as they are regulated by the solicitors regulation authority. Solicitors are far more qualified than Oisc advisors and many immigration solicitors do specialise only in immigration. This is not to say that all solicitors are better than all Oisc advisors as there are many decent such advisor however be aware that many Oisc advisors will have little or no legal training.

Hi drRalph, I know a solicitor based in Stratford, London who has got very good success rate and dont cost fortune to hire him. He is not after money like other solicitor. Few of my friends got ILR through him and I am also planning to give him my file though my case is straight forward.
