Help: HO Reference Numbers

I am going to apply for T1-extension by end of this month by post. However, I don't have my dependent's Home Office reference number which I need to fill in section H on page 24 of the dependent application form.

Could somebody help me to understand how I can get the reference number now or What if I'll unable to find any and leave the space blank?

It would be on any correspondence you might have received, but the majority of people will not have a reference number. Leave it blank.

Thanks Lucapooka for your reply!

I am wondering what should I fill in section H1 where it says "Have you ever had HO reference number?" Yes/No.

I have a letter from HO having my reference but I could not find dependent's reference.

Please help.
