they have to take your bio for couple of reasons:

1. To verify that you are really you.
2. To check if there has been any crime committed by you.

I did my bio again and they will send my new brp card shortly.

Also one thing, the difference between the ec date and entry date should be less than 90 days to take then concession which I had used.

And documents you submitted ?

Congratulations. 1 Question that is did u apply 28 days before the EC (The date of your first HSMP entry visa stamped) Not the date you physically entered the country.
Like my First HSMP visa stamped on 3rd January 2008 but I entered the country on 11th of February so according to rules should I apply 28 days before the 3rd of January 2013 OR 28 days before 11th of feb 2013 .
