Hi,
i was wondering if April SET(O) applicants have had any luck so far.

I did postal application as i had 190 days outside Uk and my solicitor said i HAD to do it by post.
My timeline here it is:
Application sent: 9 April 2019
Acknoledgment Received: 1 may 2012 dated 19 April 2012
First biometric invitation : never received
Second biometric invitation: received 26 june 2012 saying I had failed to enroll with the first invitation !!!

Biometrics enrolled : 26 june 2012

No news since then
Pushed my solicitor to expedite who asked for another 500 pounds. my company also provided expedition request letters but no luck so far.

Does nationality matter ? My solicitior says certain nationalities take longer.
I have lost confidence in my expensive solicitir who is recently hiding from me.
God my life is so upside down because of this.

still waiting, and I dont know should I enroll the biometric or not !

SgtBellPepper wrote:Just out of curiosity, does anyone know, or think that if you get your biometric invitation letter then your ILR has probably been approved and the rest is formalities in getting the BRP processed and issued?

Or is the decision not made until the very end of the process, after the biometric info is captured?

As I said, just curious to figure out the logic to the process, assuming there is one of course.

Thanks!
No. Receiving a biometric letter does not mean your application has been (or will be) successful. It only means that your application is being treated as valid (e.g. - you have submitted the correct form, completed mandatory sections, provided photographs meeting the guidance, have paid the fee etc). Applications are not substantively considered until biometric information is enrolled.

I have just contacted UKBA and got to speak to a lady after 45 minutes who advised my application has been decided and posted back to my solicitors yesterday. She gave me a RM tracking number and as yet the item has not yet been delivered.

So although it may be good news, it too could be bad news. Although, atleast I know that my anxious waiting has hopefully come to an end.

Will keep you posted! :?

Hey, its a bit frustrating as I had the same experience and applied on the 11/03. It seems like we need to keep trying until we reach an operator that will be kinf enough to help us. Ive sent so many faxes, but not response iether. So sad..
