Life in UK - difference between 2011 and 2012 editions

Post by allgo » Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:37 pm

Hi friends
I have an upcoming Life in uk test and I had been using life in uk official book which was printed in 2011 though.
Just wondering has there been any differences in the 2011 and 2012 versions? I guess we are still in the 2nd edition of the book.

Can someone kindly confirm?
Thanks

It doesn't bother me if you don't agree. The question is about versions and not the actual test!

uksettlement is absolutely correct.

There is no difference whatsoever, I have both copies from the library as well as the electronic pdf version. All are reprints of the 2007 copy, which was the second edition.

This is also clearly stated in the inside cover of the latest LIUK. Second Edition, 11th Impression 2011.

Any LIUK:A Journey to Citizenship 2nd edition, which is being printed since 2007, is valid for all tests from April 2007.

Until they change the rules, or revise the book (which will be called the Third Edition if and when they do it).

Anyone saying otherwise is misinformed or scaremongering :)

Thanks @simsony.

I am using the book:

Life in the UK Test: Study Guide 2010: The Essential Study Guide for the British Citizenship Test.

Regards,
Shahid

No I don't know that for a fact but it's been a popular rumour in some forums...

And also the current test result will be valid forever (as far as I know), so why not enjoy the old tests now when it's still available with a lot of learning materials. Plus it average takes from 2-4 weeks part time for preparation, so I don't see a reason why don't do it now. And I did it easily in 2 weeks part time(after work every day it's like 1-2 hours study).

Unless you wanna adventure the new tests :)
