Newborn kid - dependent visa ( born in UK )

Post by tier1check » Sat Sep 01, 2012 7:33 pm

Hi

I am planning to apply dependent visa for my newborn kid ( Born in UK ).

I have few questions.

1. If I apply by post, do I have to send my original passport / BRP? Also what about my wife's Passport / BRP ( she is on dependent visa )?
2. If I apply in person, do kid have to go there? Also will Kid's biometric will be required to be taken?
3. Do I have to go for in person application or my wife can go?
4. What list of documents would be required to be submitted/sent?

Any information or pointers would be helpful.

1- u only need to send the birth certificate, proof of maintenance funds and your baby's passport
2-yes baby will need to go because biometrics(only photo, no fingerprints) will be taken there
3- either of the parents can go, even someone else can go as a guardian.
4- see 1 above
