Visa for Wife

One of my friends is a British Citizen. His wife is Indian National. How can he get VISA for his wife. Please suggest / advice.

- Has she (wife) before marriage got any visa or immigration status in the UK

- Where did the marriage take place ?

- Normal cases, you have to apply for a visa(EC) from the country of the orgin of the person(wife). You will also have to show legal documents with background informations backing to prove the genuinity of the marriage for the VISA to be issued.

They got married in India. She is an Indian papport holder and has not travelled to UK.
