Switching from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 1 (General) Dependant

Post by chiku1980 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 10:39 am

Hi,
My wife is currently working in UK on a Tier 2 ICT visa. I have a Tier 1 General visa and want to get a Tier 1 Dependant visa processed for my wife.

I understand that this cannot be done from the UK and therefore she will be applying from India. I have the following 2 questions:

1. I wanted to know whether we would need to send her Tier 2 residence permit along with her dependant application? And in the unfortunate event that her dependant visa gets rejected would her Tier 2 ICT BRP be sent back by the UKBA so that she can travel on that and look to change to dependant at a later date?

2. Considering that we are both in the UK, at the moment, can someone advice what documentary evidence would I need to furnish with the application to support the form (esp proving the relationship). I would think phone logs etc become irrelevant in such a case since we live together.

Appreciate any help on the above.

Regards.
