English proficiency letter

Post by meer_iet » Wed Jan 10, 2007 10:03 am

Hello Friends,

i got original letter on the University letter pad mentioning my name, degree awarded, date of award etc.
For the english requirement it only says in last ,
"his medium was english".
is it sufficient? i saw a similar post here in which application was rejected because the letter did not say "degree was taught in english language".

FYI, as supporting document i will also send my NOV 2005 CBT score of 247.

Will it work. please suggest.
thanks.

the letter is a bit vague...it should have been stated that the medium of instruction was english or the course was taught using the english language...in that effect.

paramjit2k,
What do you think about this? Though i already sent the application, just tryin gto know what to expect.

"English Language is basically the medium used in all Nigerian universities in Communicating and teaching"

Basically word is confusing. It might means university want to say most courses r taught in English. But few courses can be in other languages.
And ofcourse ur course can be.

So get letter specific to course...
