You can't apply for EC without the approval letter.

You might be able to get the result by pleading with one of their advisors, perhaps asking (or demanding) to speak to your caseworker. They might tell you they can't see the decision - they're lying. You could even ask (or demand) to speak to a manager. Just tell them you need the decision, they should give it to you (eventually).

Getting a reprint however is a lot more difficult...

Yes, I agree with WoodieG. Do exactly he is saying, they tell decision over the phone in exceptional circumstances.... once 3 months are over and you have not received the post then you are entitled to get the reprint...

Paramjit,

Did they send it by Standard airmail or was that a registered post (which probably has a reference number and one can track the status online).

Why don't they charge a couple of GBP more, and send it through registerted post or registered delivery whatever way it is known in Royal Mail terms.

This is really frustrating.

Hi
I request them to collect docuent by courier but they did not give reply. Now they are saying they can not say result due to security reason.I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TYPE OF SECURITY THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT ?? THEY SEND MY VALUABLE DOCUMENT WITHOUT ANY SECURITY BUT FOR THE RESULT THEY ARE TALKING "SECURITY REASON".

Really its sad that they are sending all valuable documents by mormal air mail but charging very high.They may add more charge for out of country application and can send by reg post.I do not understand why they do not care about our original document.

ANYBODY IS THERE WHO IS SAME PROBLEM LIKE ME ? Pls let me know.

Thanks

"Now they are saying they can not say result due to security reason"

They just don't like giving results over the phone, they just don't want the hassle of telling people they have failed and the ensuing questions that follow. They don't give positive results either, so don't assume it's negative just because they won't tell you.

Hi WoodieG,
Thanks for your comments.Yes I can not understand this is ACCEPTED or REFUSE.Other importent point is what will be the situation if it is lost(may be this is lost as there is no any reason to take so long time.)

May I able to apply for entry clearence without orginal documents if this is lost by airmail ? it will take very long time to collect all the duplicate documents. Really I am in very bad situation.

Pls adv if anybody face same situation.

Thanks

Hi all
Today I receive a reply from HO

========
Dear Applicant,
I can confirm that your decision letter and documents were sent to you
by airmail on 13/11/06. Post sent by airmail can take up to 12 weeks to
arrive at it's destination and we have no way of tracking it's progress
once it has left our office's. If you have not received your post when
this 12 week timeframe has elapsed then do not hesitate to contact us.
We can issue you with a re-print of your decision letter after this
time. You can request this either by post or fax with a covering letter
explaining the reasons for your request.

Due to security reasons we are unable to give you the decision by
e-mail.

Kind Regards
========

Even on tel they do not want to disclose the result,I do not know why ? Is it mens that the result is negetive ?

Pls reply all senior member
