Kindly advise if a PSW visa expires on 30 December 2012, is 28 days given as grace period

Thank you for your prompt response. However, for your information, I have read the link a few times and am not able to total understand it. For example if I got my certificate of sponsorship from my boss on 29Dec12 and I submit my application form for Tier 2 General the same day, can I stay back for 28 days counting from submission date ie: 29Dec12 without applying for an extension?
