Changes to applications from overstayers from 1 October 2012

Hello all,

I just submitted my application last week for Tier 1 extension. I happened to read this article on the UKBA site today.

Probably I'm just panicking unecessarily, but will I be affected if I dont get my visa after the 28 day period of my visa expiry? My visa expires on 2nd Oct 2012.

it doesn't matter if your leave expires whilst your application is outstanding. As long as you made your application in time you will not be considered and overstayer

i advise you to read the lines again, it clearly mentioned that, if an applicant made (Submit) his/her application after 28 days of expiry of the current visa, then he/she must leave the country and can re-apply from outside UK.
You do not fall in this CATEGORY.
