Are these invitations for 15th October received after having sent off the €950 bank draft (+ 2 passport photos), or before?

citizenship section work 2 way for approvals and ceremony . some people got approval without ceremony dates. once they send all the documents and fee later on they issue ceremony date. second one is some people got approvals and ceremony date together.but they have time to send all the documents and fee. good luck all the applicant

I got a "the minister intends to approve".. "please send €950 and 2 x passport photos".. letter. But no invitation to ceremony. What do you make of that?

I think there is a kind of internal INIS categorisation
Standard:
- Work/Visa permit, Green card
Others:
- Spouse Irish/ EU
- Asylum
- Parent of Irish...

Most of the backlog are for others, the train is moving but very slowley for other category

the EU spouses applications are taking average 24-26 months very slow speed and they are keeping the same speed of processing these applications.
pls share your ideas when the new invitations will start to come after 15 oct ceremony for 13 dec ceremony.

second stage of processing?

Post by eskaybee » Wed Sep 19, 2012 8:46 pm

Friends
Apllied: Jan 2012 based on Stamp 4, Five yr reckonable residency.
Today received a letter from Initial Processing team, mentioning that 'Your application has proceeded successfully to the second stage of processing'.
Please advise what this means and how long it may take after going to second stage?

I seriously wonder why its taking them such a long time to process these applications while in other countries , the Uk for example not to mention others give responses after 3 months , i heard about people getting approvals in a less amount of time !!

This whole process is waste of our time and the DOJ time , while wasting time and resources on such a bureaucratic process , a test and or an interview should be introduced ! i also cannot see why the outside agencies reports take years while we can get them in days ,
A week will be enough for me to go around the Garda , social and Revenue office and get letters and reports about my status .

That would seem to them they you are getting your naturalization too easily + may as well cost a job to a good 80% of them. The more "difficult" they make the job and the longer the process - the more chances they will keep their jobs in recession.

I suppose an interview process with a GOOD specialist trained in this particular field (like they do in the US) would not only speed up the process but will eliminate chances for people who are good enough in hiding their second life getting their approvals instead of ordinary people who would not know how to "create" perfect histories on the surface and just live a normal human life - work, lose jobs, study, marry, divorce, get penalized for speeding or other minor offenses etc, etc.

The DOJ should build a profile of the applicant , as long he lives here for 5 years , has a job (worked for at least a reasonable amount of time , a person cannot be blamed for loosing a job ) no major offences an interview is vital to see if the applicant is qualified to be a citizen , a good English and a reasonable good knowledge of the culture and the system .
Anything apart from that is just an absolute waste of time and a lot of nonsense
