Concerned about scholarship Document

Post by swapnilchaudhari » Mon Sep 24, 2012 6:46 am

Dear Members of the Forum,

Greetings!

I have applied for Student VISA on 10th September at VFS Pune India. I am going to do a M Phil Course at Cambridge University. I have secured the full scholarship from one of the funding organization in India.

I now realized that during the VISA application at VFS, I forgot to attached Original Letter of Scholarship from the funding organization, instead I gave a Xerox copy of the letter. This letter is exactly in the same format as mentioned by the UKBA, except that it does not have a seal which was not there in original letter as well.

I am yet to receive any updates from UKBA regarding my VISA. Last status message, which is still the same is " Your VISA application is under process at the British High Commission" .
I am not little worried if my VISA will be delayed/rejected.

I would be extremely thankful if someone who have had similar experience or have knowledge in this line could please put forth their comments.

Thank you very much.

Regards

Swapnil

You could always send that letter with your application reference no. Certain VFS are very stupid and don't accept any documents unless asked by the caseworker, however if you go down to VFS office and explain them the situation with a covering letter they should forward that to your caseworker.

In any case if its a half decent caseworker who is looking into your case should get in touch with you automatically to request for the original in case they have any doubt.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have not been to VFS office but I asked it the same day to their call center but they declined any possibility of sending the document unless until asked by UKBA.

I am not able to decide if I should send it now, since its the time to receive some update from the UKBA (15 working day) and meanwhile if I send it and they have taken the decision it would go wasted.

I hope UKBA writes me and ask for the document instead of rejecting/delaying the VISA.

Today I tried talking and explaining the situation to VFS Pune. But alas they did not hear anything and asked me to wait and watch.

Really helpless right now.
