This was my query to HSMP Team

Dear,

You can submit the form 2 months before expiry. This is due to the lengthy
processing times at the moment.

Thanks bouncingboy. This takes out the guess work for HSMP extension applications. Maybe the moderators would consider to include this information in FAQs.
