HSMP and NI number

Dear friends i am U.K Under HSMP program .
I am finiding it extremly difficult to Get a Odd job also after comming here . I am told that it takes nearly 2 months to get a Temporary NI number . problem is if we donthave Job we dont Get NI Number .

If we dont Have NI number we dont get a job.

Hence those who have applied for NI number kindly inform for sake of every body so that they ae also aware of Ground reality .

Moderators kindly inform me as i am very upset .

Hi!
First go to the local job centre and ask them where can u apply for NI Number. Depending on your post code they will guide you to the office. This office would give you temporary NI Number on their letterhead.

If you have two rejection letters then you can apply for permanent NI number eventhough you dont have any job

NI number is not a pre-requisite for a job. Your employer will provide a temporary number, the disadvantange being, a higher tax+NI contribution will be deducted. But, fear not...the extra amount can be reclaimed.

That is untrue or your have wrong information.

As an immigrant or a foriegn/Non-EU passport holder, NI number will only be issued to you provided you show them 'reasons' to have one.

following are the ONLY two reason as far as I know, to obtain an NI number:

1) A job offer recently undertaken with payslips.
2) A student with request letter from uni/school and a part time job offer.
