A lot depends on when you entered UK (if you were issued visa overseas).

As an aside, did you enter UK on the same day you got your visa?

Based on what you have said so far, your five year completes on the 25 Nov 2012. You can apply during the 28 days prior to this date.

You can apply On or after 28th October.

You are eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before 4th Nov 2012. This works out as 8th October.

Hi,

I was absent from the UK for following dates:

25 Dec 11 - 16 Jan 12 = 21 days
11 Mar 12 - 22 Mar 12 = 10 days
22 Jul 12 - 20 Aug 12 = 26 days
Total : = 57 days

i will mark these as holidays and all were for my personal reasons without knowing my employer since i was on the bench and was allowed to stay at home.
now my query is: Case worker might ask that how come i had these many holidays, now in that case what reason should i give?
please help me...

Thanks
sai

You are the one who was absent from the UK for the reasons best known to you. Why are you asking others as to the reason that you should give? If you yourself do not know what to say, how will others know?

You have been accurately informed that if your total absences in 5 years are less than 180 you don't need any supporting letter from employer. All the absences will be considered as "for personal reasons".

thanks sushdemehta yes i agree i should know the reasons by myself but i am afraid that if case worker asks that why i was paid fully when i exceeded my leaves limit....do you think if i just say holiday for personal reasons would that be enough? thank you again

ILR - business visa date needs to be included?

Post by saisun99 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 9:21 am

Hello,

Prior to my UK work permit ( 25th Nov 2007) i was on business visa almost for 6 months and in between i visited India couple of times. Do i need to mention about this in date left and returned to the UK section and also in my personal absence sheet?

Thanks
Sai

WRT above questions, your application should be based on what is asked on Set O form, especially page 13, q6.1 and q6.2.
