my wife applied same date and place as you. 14 june at islamabad

Bro i thought that UKBA deals with every case differently and on the basis of individual circumstances. I was expecting a sooner response because my wife lived with me in the UK for nearly 3 years on a spouse visa when i was on Work permit and my son was born in the UK in 2011. Unfortunately just before their visa was expiring they had to go back to pakistan for an emergency, So i thought they can apply from pakistan and it wont take long but i was wrong.

I guess UKBA are dealing with applications on the basis of when they are recieved.
i dont know how they work but inshaallah it should be very soon

Congratulations people, my heart gives out a sigh of relief when I hear someone's visa has been granted :) Masha'Allah it must be a big achievement after the long wait.
Its great to see some of the May applicants have been granted visas so Insha'Allah us June applicants will be hearing good news soon. Please lets continue to make dua for our fellow brothers/sisters, we all need them.
My husband was a student in UK when we met back in December 2011 and we went to Pak to get married in March 2012. My husband still has a valid student visa until April 2013, therefore I thought his visa should come through pretty quickly, or am I just dreaming lol
Applied at Islamabad: 25/06/2012
Under process at BHC: 09/07/2012

Week 21... INSHA'ALLAH it will be granted soon. Please make dua people and my duas are with everyone out there.

The batches by in large are the ones which are handled outside of Pakistan, either in Abu Dhabi or in the past also Croydon too. The Entry Clearance stamp is always done in ISB, but it's the stages before that which are done abroad.

The batches that come through usually come through once a month. The members on this site are just a small portion, about 2% of the real figure. Applications in ISB, ie the ones which are processed entirely in ISB are actually handled individually.

I will browse the forum from time to time and try to help where can I can.

Finally the status on the tracker has changed to Application collected 10/10/12

King they are not handled in abu dhabi .. all settlement visa's are handled in pakistan now.. not in abu dhabi and not in croydon

I have had this confirmed to my MP by the UKBA...

Also you can read the recent inspection report carried out on islamabad BHC and it confirms all proccessing has returned to pakistan.

Even document verification, which in the past was done in Croydon, is now done in islamabad.

Some applications were handled in abu dhabi previously but this went back to pakistan also
- 10/05/2012 Applied in Islamabad
- 10/05/2012 Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC
- 23/05/2012 Visa application is under process at the British High Commission.
-09/10/2012 Visa Granted :)

Hi guys
this is my first time posting so im sorry if i have made a mistake or put it in the wrong forum.
I also dont know much of the terminology so if you could help me out that would be fantastic

I got married last october (18/10/11) in pakistan returned in decemeber
and submited the the visa case on the 25/06/12

this is what my online tracking reads

Reference Number (my refrence number)
Application date 6/25/2012
Status Visa application is under process at the British High Commission. 07/09/2012

how long do visa cases normally take, the guys at the Gerry office in mirpur told my wife she would have a answer within two months.

obviosly this is not right, but i am getting restless.
and help guys??

Its awfull because I always plan for the worst
so at the moment I am spending the bare minimum from my wages
because if God Forbid the case gets declined and I have to resubmit it, I can sure that I have a good wage.

I am praying for everyone this waiting game is the worst feeling ever. especially when you have so many expectations and responsibilities.

2ee5haan when u applied the waiting time was 12 weeks and now it is 24 weeks due to the change of immigration rules on 9th July therefore expect a 6 month wait but thats not to say u wont get a reply before then

But if I applied before the rules were changed doesnt that mean I should get answer within 12 weeks??? :?
(hopefully)

Thats the whole reason I applied on that date
just so that I can beat the rule change

Unfortunately it doesnt work like that i wish it did but dont worry the old rules apply to u but due to the amount of applications everyone has had to wait longer. U did beat the rule change like many others which caused record breaking applications. Sabr is key but inshallah we should hear soon. Good luck
