Settlement VISA in UK..pls help

Suppose if a person (non-British) person gets married to British National in India and comes to UK by Tourist VISA. Can they apply for Settlement VISA in UK please ?

Its urgent, please help and advice

NO,

Switching from Visitor to spouse in-counntry is not allowed. They should apply for spouse visa from India

No - further they can be removed as illegal entrants (with or without detention) due to misrepresenting their real intention for entry into the UK. Tell them to apply for a settlement visa at the British High Commission in India.

The only option for you is to contact the high commision in India and apply for an entry clearence there.

Just to let you know, you got to show ample evidence and background info as a back up for the genuinity and circumstances which lead to this marriage to get thru EC.

Agreed,

However, for ARRANGED MARRIAGES all the usual lengthy evidence may not be requiored

Somtimes it's better to apply for fiance visa and get married in the UK.
