ILR application - self-employed

Post by rushabhjvora » Fri Oct 12, 2012 4:48 pm

Dear Friends,

I am having PEO appointment at Sheffied in November for ILR. I have one question:

Being a Director of a Ltd company, I take salary via dividends and director fees. My accountant has said that according to HMRC, I am classed as employee of my company and will only pay Class 1 National insurance.
Is this assumption correct with UKBA?

Thanks,

Rushabh

Yes. your accountant is right but make sure you get this statement on his letter as well.
