What are the current average timelines for payments being processed and acknowledgement letter receipts for SET O applications?

My application reached them on Tuesday 9th October, but no sign of payment being taken yet. My only concern is I need to show the acknowledgement letter to my employers by the 19th, which is now less than a week away to continue in my job.

So any information would be helpful. Do the UKBA call centre give information about acknowledgement over the phone?

We applied 27th June SET M via checking service
docs received 28th June by UKBA
(we wanted premium service but no appointments left before visa expired.)
received acknowledgement letter approx two weeks later after payment taken out (debit card)
Biometrics letter received 21st August
biometrics done 22nd August
visa expired 18th August started 24th May 2010 came into UK same day
Whilst in UK had baby (british by birth)

Now waiting....

Some questions for those in the know?

As I understood it you had to have at least 28 days remaining on visa when applied and have completed 2 years in UK is this correct?

I (british citizen im asking on behalf of my husband) was on maternity leave during the time we applied for visa although my husband still at work and we have a considerable amount saved my wages dropped considerably whiile on my mat leave will this effect us? I put on the application my wages when im back at work with a note to say on mat leave.

My thought is they have to have extremely good grounds to refuse my husbands ILR considering he now has a baby in UK that is British? Any thoughts on this?

Those who've had their passports back and successful return if documents etc, what company is it sent by? We had a missed attempted delivery yesterday from Royal Mail Signed For... But don't believe we're waiting for anything else, could this be it???

Interesting though, as JeanR, didnt receive the approval letter too, wonder if UKBA are not sending letters anymore - just the docs back.

Getting a bit anxious now, other June applicants have had their decisions already.

You should ring yours legal advisor and ask for Ack letter.Let see what he reply..In most cases home office send acknowledge letter to legal advisor within 2 weeks..Normally in one week.
