Tier 2(General) extension --URGENT

Post by sussexguy » Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:13 am

Hi all,

Is there any way to find out Tier 2(General) application status? I applied end of august and gave my biometric on the 17th Sep. On their website it says they are dealing with applications with biometric on or before 22nd Sep. I really planned my travel on similar calculations and have been expecting it last week or this week. I have to travel next week.

Can anyone please tell me what can I do to get my documents back in time. I am almost starting to panic now.

Thanks,
S

Yes, I know the timeline is for guidance only but my application has been there for the reasonable length of time and I have explained why I am particularly worried about it this time around. My travel is super urgent. I am still unable to find somewhere to raise this issue up which is very frustrating and no one in the forum seem to be sharing anything either.

Anyway, the documents are relatively straightforward for extension, your employer will provide the CoS which will often take off the financial criteria otherwise imposed on you (900 pounds in your account for 90 days). You only have to send your passport and biometric card and the form. If you use online form then it will generate a PDF which you need to print and sign off.

hi mate
thanks for response

any success with your case???
recently came to know UKBA is taking longer than usual to process visa applications.. don't know if this will include tier 2 visas as well!!

my employer has applied for allocation of COS in sept'12.
no response has been received as yet... do they really need allocation for extension application?
