question

Post by otuk07 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 2:57 pm

Hi all. As a new HSMP (in country from WP) applicant, I have 3 questions:

- I have a new offer of employment (reason for HSMP application), would it make sense to include a copy along with the application?
- For the English language requirement, a US Bachelor degree (certificate and letter stating courses taught in English) would be enough, and I would not need a UK NARIC comparability report?
- In terms of evidence for age, they ask for full driving license, but do not say a UK license necessarily. Would a US driving license be ok, if anyone has used it before?

It looks like (from the threads) in country applications are being dealt with quicker. As an incountry applicant (WP currently until 2009), what should I expect as a processing/decision time frame?

Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help

Post by akumarsapuk » Mon Jan 22, 2007 3:18 pm

hi all

I guess they are working on reference based on application received date. They are now working on applications received on 04/01/2007.

Mine is with ref number 2033** ( between 1-50).

Application reached 03/01/2007
Decision Made 19/01/2007 and posted docs same day.

Mine is incountry application. I am awaiting the decision. Do not know if it is positive or negative. Lets hope for the best.

Thanks
Anil

Hi guys, will like to report that I got Approval today :)

More pertinently, to let you know I used a letter confirming English proficiency (Nigerian University).

Hi disdil4u it's 2033..

Although I don't think it's a huge determining factor as to when you'll get your decision; it's an indication of what time frame you might be looking at.

For example, looking at forum I estimated a decision sometime this week give or take..

Which happened to be correct...

Hi disdil4u,

I called the number 6020 and waited for 10 mins. Later a lady attended the call and she passed this information to me, even though I didnot ask her.

So sweet right :D

Hi Guys,
I called HO yesterday and came to know that decision has been made on my application .

My reference number 2039XX

Application reached on 29th December 2006

Decision made 20th Jan 07

surprisingly I have not received any email about decision on my application.

They also told me that they dispatched decision letter by air mail .

I am not sure why they did not give me choice to arrange for courier also .

just waiting to get the air mail..

Can anybody tell me how long it will take for air mail to reach Hyderabad, India ?

Aussie brother!

Why are you send 'garbage' documents which are NOT required? Can you explain me how it's going to help you? Why are you making your case more complex?

Thx!
