Tier 2 (ICT) - Long term staff extension

Post by withrajeev » Thu Oct 25, 2012 10:31 am

Hi,

I have got a Tier 2 ICT visa for 2 years in aug 2012 i.e with effect to the new Tier 2 visa rule. My salary is more than £40,000 and have the visa for the next 2 years.

My question now is I am bit confused, can I extend my visa since it is a long term staff and my salary is more than £40,000 or after 2 years should I go back and wait for 12 months before returning.

My 2nd question is if I continue my stay on tier 2 Visa how long can i stay with this visa.

Please advise looking forward for your answers.
- Raj

thanks Manci. It helps, any idea on the extension of the visa after 2 years, i hear that if the sal is more than 40,000 then I can extend it or else require a break of 12 months before comming back again.

Given that things are very dynamic, but at this moment I wanted to know if the rule says that if we have more than 40,000 and on a long term staff we can get it renowed with out having to go back, is this understanding correct.

If this changes then we will have to plans as per the new rules, but if it changes again it is not probably going to affect us they will give a cut off date for the new rule also is it.
