new allocations of certificates of sponsors

Post by phoenix3123 » Wed Oct 31, 2012 1:50 pm

Hi ,

my employer only requested for the increase the allotment for the COS.

My current visa expires in 28th January 2013.

How long will it take to hear regarding the allotment for the COS?

from timelines posted on the forum the processing time for applications to increase the CoS allocation seems currently to take about 1-2 month, so hopefully you'll be OK

There are different timeslines posted. You need to look at all but note the distinction between an application for a sponsor licence and an application to increase the CoS allocation on an existing sponsor licence.

ok....ya get ur point, but the time lines are way awkward, no trends in it at all....mine is for an increase in allocation for a tier-2 ict. its been 14 weeks now...since my employer requested thru the SMS..fyi..my employer is an A rated sponsor.

Got Cos

Post by phoenix3123 » Mon Nov 05, 2012 10:25 pm

Hi Guys,

I got my COS today. The allocation was requested on the 31st and it was granted in full on the same day itself.

I got PEO appointment at Glasgow on Saturday (10th November).

I have got few queries:
1. My present visa expires on the 28th of Jan 2013 - Can I go ahead for my extension this saturday?

2. There are no details of far how long the extension going to be ? 2 or 3 years, but my employer requested for 3 years

3. Can my wife apply for the extension same time as me?

Thank you

1. Already answered in another topic you had created earlier.
2. It will be granted in line with immigration rule 245HE.
3. Yes, if your wife has PBS dependant leave.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Hi,

U applied for increase in allotment for cos on 31st october and got it on 31st october? Thats great. Did u apply for urgent treatment, I wuol assume not...since visa expiry has time..please confirm the same.

@moderators/gurus:- please help, how come some applications are processed so fast at UKBA, while its been 14 and half weeks for my employers request for increase in cos allotment..

I am sure not it was stated as urgent. My employer was on the phone with the sponsor support when requesting. They advised my employer to wait until 10 days before the current visa expires. If not heard by then, to give to call to push it further.

Luckily our request was granted full the same day which enabled my employer to assign the extension cos. my Cos is valid until 6th February.

My present visa is valid until 28th Jan 2013. I managed to get the PEO glasgow for the 10th of this month. So not sure whether I can go ahead with the extension. but there is an update on UKBA
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... r/01-rules
so not sure whether to wait until first week of January to apply

Success with the extension

Post by phoenix3123 » Fri Nov 30, 2012 8:58 pm

Hi Guys,

Got my extension for 3 years for both myself and my wife. Initial PEO appointment from 10th November was re-scheduled to 28th November at Glasgow office.
Got the BRP this evening.

Thank you everyone for all the advise. it was invaluable.
