Hello All,

I have a 17 yr old nephew who is dependent on me. I am a Brit Citizen and considering moving to Ireland or maybe Holland.

If I move, what would be the best way to get him over to stay with me. He currently resides in Jamaica.

Is it bureaucratic?

Airplane would be good. Ship takes a bit longer. The immigration issues are perhaps more difficult. You need to prove that he is dependant on your benevolence. Do you remit money to him regularly in lieu of his own means of support?

Yes I do send him money regularly. Because he s underage, I have to send it to my sister who collects it for him.
