ILR Application - with 3 dependents

Hi There,

I am applying for my ILR in JAN 2013 with my Wife and 2 kids.

Please can someone let me know what are the fees for main applicant and 3 dependents ?

I got my HSMP Visa Stamped on 20 Feb 2008,Came to UK on 12 April 2008 (2 years)
Got Tier 1 Extension on 18 Feb 2010 which is valid till 20 Feb 2013.(3 years)

So i have my HSMP letter with me, can i pay the reduced fees as mentioned here.

Under Question Tier 1 (General) application fees for applicants who are currently in the UK under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
Or is it a different fees?

To me it looks like the ILR fees for you would be under the following heading on the same page:

Application fees for settling in the UK using form SET(O)

Unless experts think otherwise.

Also one another question, what is the minimum maintenance of fund requirements for main applicant and depandends?

Your two children cannot apply as your wife's dependent if they are not on 'dependent visa' under your wife.

Your two children cannot apply as your wife's dependent via postal if they are not on 'dependent visa' under your wife.

My Wife and 2 Kids are my depandent and we came to Uk togather and staying in Uk since then,

so what i was thinking is it possible if i go in person for my ILR and if i get approval i will then apply for all 3 depandents via post.

Is this allowed ? and are there any different fees if depandends are doing application separatly?

Costwise, you have only two options: £3444 Premium service or £2479 postal, you and all 3 dependents together.

The definite downside of postal is having to wait for around 6 months or more.

The possible downside of Premium is that a same day approval is not guaranteed.

Truth is, am not sure if there are many people who have tried that out. If it works for you, you will be saving quite a lot! Best giving UKBA a ring to hear what they say. Be prepared with valid reasons (not financial!) why you want to apply seperately.

Minor dependants cannot apply for settlement separately from the migrant they are dependants of as PBS dependants (319J(c)), so include them in your application.

Your wife may apply later, separately, before her current PBS dependant leave expires.

Thanks i understand it , reason is yes not the financial but logic:) why do i pay depandent fee if for any reason they refuse the main applicant.

i have not seen any case where if for some reasons they refuse ILR to main application they give to depandants, so why pay , secure way for us is to get the ILR and then spend your hard earned money for depandants...
