marriage with tourist visa

Is it possible to get married with a tourist visa?

My fiance is mexican and we want to get married. if we give notice to the registrar office this month, i understand we have one year to get married.

He needs to return to mexico to close his business, then the intention is for him to re-enter the uk on tourist visa for our wedding?

Will this work? Do the registrar office notify UKBA after we give the notice?

Hi the correct way to do it would be via a marriage visit visa, then you wont have any problems in the future with other visa applications. Requirements same as a visit visa with the addition that you intend to marry.
