hi,
i have a friend of mine, she is a wife of UK citizen husband, she and her husband living abroad and would like to satell in UK. she is aware of the new rules change (2 years leave to remain visa). her questions are:-
1) will she be allowed to work when she getleave to remain visa?
2) can she and her husband stay overseas for work if they did not get suitable job in UK?
3) any expiry for leave to remain if stays outside of UK?
4) will she be able to renew additional 2 years leave to remain visa if she stays outside of UK for a job?

"Leave to remain" cannot be applied for from outside the UK.
Entry clearance is now granted for 33 months, and settlement requires 5 years of stay in UK.

Suggest that your friend and her husband read through the guidances given here.

hi,
we read the document (thanks), can you please provide information to clear our dought:-
1) after getting entery clearance visa, the applicant & partner did not get a job to meet 16000 GBP annual financial requirment for further extension of entery clearence/leave to remain visa after compeletion of 33 months, Question: can applicant & partner work overseas and then return back before 33 months expire in order to extend their visa?

2) will the overseas income (salary) will be considered when making extension application after 33 months?

3-you cant stay outside uk b4 2 periods of 30 months, otherwise you lose the visa
4-no this is a settlement visa, if she is not settle in uj she cant
