HSMP 1 year holder needs german schengen

I need to get schengen visa for germany for an interview.

But in schengen rules, it says your UK residence permit should be vaild 3 months beyond the schengen visa...

my hsmp is expiring on 21 january! so, what should I do now? do you they can give at least a visa for a few days?

It has been a long time noone answered, so I will tell my experience. I got the visa for 2 days for the interview, although the rules dont apply to my case. I guess German embassy used their discretion and gave me the visa anyway although my UK residence was due to finish in 1 month. I asked for 5 days at least (to look around) but they gave only for 2 days because my residence in the Uk was about to finish.
