Hi, what is the cost to live in UK for a single guy, wanting to live in a small appartment/studio in London/"very near London", as well as the food/public transportation costs ? Just an average. :shock:

Varies from person to person. But if you are a non-party loving simpleton you may be able to live on £1000 assuming you are in a 1bedsit of around £500.

Since you are single, you may even find cheaper, decent and non-shared 1 bed accomodations, but need not necessarily be apartments in areas like Southall, Hounslow, East ham etc. They are not "very" near London, but about 30-40 minutes by public transport.

if you are a single then you should be able to manage anywhere b/w 400-1000 bucks/month .....

It again depends if you would be sharing ... and the zones where you wuold want to be in .... outer the zone the cheaper .... but dont expect it to be too cheaper as well ....


Commutation is expensive ..... Food is too expensive ... but if you can cook you can cut cost ...

Some Clubbing, Pubbing and Partying is fine to enjoy your time.. about GBP 600-800 (outside London) is very good amount to have a good time in the UK
