Tier 1 Dependent ILR rule

i am asking this question on behave of friend who is on his tier 1 visa got his extention just now. now he and his wife both eligible for ILR after two years. but now his wife who is his teir 1 depentent wants to visit home country for 2 to 3 months. so is it ok for dependent to stay away from uk for sometime or have they also have stay for two years without gap for ILR eligibilty.

please help

180 days rule doesnt apply on dependants...
