In terms of timelines, UKBA should be publishing the October figures pretty soon, which should give us an idea of the processing times.

My timelines are as follows:
Applied from Karachi on 4 July 2012
Under processing at BHC from 17 July 2012
@ topgun its ok, I apologise I didn't mean anything bad, anyway your right ukba should be pulishing them soon, I don't mind ukba taking max lenght of time as long at is good news inshallah..sometimes gets frustrating but something tells me that next week will bring a lot of rfc inshallah.
Application submitted at Islamabad 28/06/12
Forwarded to BHC 12/07/12
Please remember me in your duas Insh'ALLAH

visa granted

Post by gaz ali » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:42 am

Hi guys,

Apologize to notify late, but my wife got her visa yesterday - she never told me she got an RFC text or nothing, I was in Mecca (and yes I prayed for everyone who is waiting!) after finishing my Tawaf and going to my car wife called to say she got her visa!!.

so ill be probably traveling to Pak int he next coming days and going from there to home.

Question - when we arrive in UK immigration - can I go with her in the Non-EU line or do I need to go to the EU line at immigration.

thanks.

Sorry to hear of your loss. A relative of mine has applied in Mirpur, and through the embassy grapevine he has heard that there will be a glut of RFC's for Mirpur before the end of November.

So hopefully not too long to wait.

As for the people at the BHC having heart or feelings. I think they have been programmed to check the essentials. Unfortunatley emotions dont come into it.

further information

Post by gaz ali » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:30 am

hi guys,

can somone please give me some info;

as you are aware my wife got her visa - we applied on the old rules (before 9th July) is there an in depth document that details what we need to apply for ILR after her 2 year probationary period is over?

I want to do everything I can in these 2 years to prepare my self for the application. I have checked on UKBA but cant find relevant info.

thanks for your help.

However the girl did get her visa. She wrote a post about her worries and concerns about not having a stable job.

So this goes to show anything can happen.

Here is the link to the post :

THIS WAS MY SITUATION EXACTLY!! I was so scared to appy just beacuse of my employment! I was working with an immigration solicitor....kind of a shaky job, JUST earning the bare minimum needed to apply for a visa at that time... £105.95 per week (as per govt. standards for a couple)... Because of that, i went a bit crazy. I used my mum and dad a LOT. I used my dad's bank statments and his business as a backup and got him to write a letter-head statement saying that he will happily support us etc and that I pay no bills/ rent and neither will my wife etc. and I used my mum's bank statements as well stating that she will happily help financially if we need it etc etc (third party support basically). I also showed them I had about £500-£600 saved up in an account as FURTHER backup... But now I have another job!! Just worjed there for a week now! ALHAMDULILLAH (it was so hard..given the current economic climate) and I contacted the BHC telling them about the change in my circumstances and they asked for an employment letter etc so Im gona get my mrs to call the BHC in Islamabad to ask where to send it and by which means... ANYWAY its been stressful knowing that my employment is WEAK but i have definitely tried my backside off in making sure I have done all that I can to strengthen that weakness...I have done the best that I can...and now I am leaving it to Allah. Insha'Allah our visa will be granted.
I know it might not make a difference, but I also wrote a statement....it was a couple of pages long.... I know there is no emotion involved in deciding whether to grant a visa or not, but I just COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!!! Lol

Post by Ismail_Asghar » Mon Nov 19, 2012 9:16 am

I just spoke to my wife and she is at the Gerrys office this morning, collecting her passport.

She told me that there are loads of people waiting at the offices to collect their passports.

Will let eveyone know the outcome as soon as I do.
