ILR approved - Sheffield PEO (Nov 15, 2012)

Post by aks121179 » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:12 pm

I just wanted to share my experience with my ILR application so that it may be of use to others. (Thanks to all the various contributors on this forum in helping me prepare for this.)

Overall, I had a very good experience with the Sheffield PEO (very professional and friendly people).

10am Appointment - Arrived 30 min prior to this.
HSMP (2 yr) + Tier 1 General (3 yrs)
Myself and one dependant child

* Went to reception and provided my details. Given a token.
* Seen by a very friendly lady who took our application and passports to check over some things
* She put everything into a folder and told me to go to the payment counter and hand this in and make the payment.
* Paid fee and told to wait for Biometrics
* Biometrics completed and waited 30 min before being called by case worker.
* Case worker looked over the evidence I had provided, stated it was very straight forward and told me to it'll take her 30-45 min to complete assessing my application.
* Came back in 30 min and case worked called out my number to give me the approval letter and all the original evidence. Thanked me for providing copies of all evidence and we were out by 1pm.

Evidence provided
* Payslips for the 12 months
* Bank statements showing these payments (12 months)
* Letter from employer (stating when I started working there and am still in full time employment)
* LIUK test result for myself
* Bank Savings account statement (proof of maintenance)
* Mortgage a/c open letter (proof of home ownership)
* Land registry change of title (proof of home ownership)
* Most recent council tax statement

I had the following documents on hand just in case I was asked by the case worker.
* last 5 years P60
* Child's birth certificate
* Original degrees and transcripts

Received the BRP for myself and my child today.

It was provided as evidence of home ownership. I beleive there is a question which asks if you own/rent your place.
