Hi Everybody,

My ILR Time line is following:

Application Sent : 31/08/2012
Payment Taken Out : 07/09/2012 (Paid by Cheque)
Acknowledgement Letter Received : 07/09/2012 (Dated 04/09/2012)
Biometric Invitation Letter Received : 17/11/2012 (Dated 14/11/2012)
Biometric Done : 19/11/2012

Rest of the process: Waiting

I have also updated the skydrive Excel sheet. I will informed you if i got any update... People who are waiting for their Biometric Invitation letter, hopefully will be arrived soon.. May allah help all of you...

No gaps, on one occasion my application for SEGS was returned as I had applied on the wrong form. When I sent a new form the second time this was received one day after the date of expiry of the visa.

In total i spent about 14 months outside the UK. But no more than 4 months at any one time.


I recieved passport through the prepaid special delivery envelope which I had sent at the time of application.

Congrats, finally ukba has broken the ice by sending your ilr, i hope mine would be on its way as well inshallah

Finally, the much awaited Biometrics invitation arrived today and have done it straight away.

Can someone please update the skydrive for me please

Bio invite and done - 20/11/2012 although the letter was dated 13/11/2012
they bloody used a second class post.

Let_loko - don't worry mate I hope yours will be arriving within the next couple of days. Yup the best thing for you to do is to write a letter.

I got my solicitor to send them a complaint email yesterday to the complaints department because I applied since the 16th August and have not received my biometric letter. Did they tell you what the relevant department to send the information to? Thanks

Hi everybody.

I am also sailing in the same boat. Recently i have discoverd this blog. I have applied my ILR in 3rd week of October - 27 and i got my ack in week time and money also taken from account in week time.

So can you please update on the sky drive. so that i can be helpful for other readers.

This blog really gives support and guidance. Thanks for all the contributes and person you who updating the sky drive. God bless you.

I have also called the UKBA but i unfortunately, my details has not been scanned unto the system yet. I was advised to write a letter to the relevant department which am going to do right away. Am so worried. I applied in August 6 2012 and i have been waiting for BIO Invitation.

i just phoned ukba number and they informed that the invitation letter has been produced on 16th nov, so its on its way. i am so looking forward to get it soon.

Did you call the usual number ? and what reference number did you give them ? is it the one on the acknowledgement letter ? Pls reply.

yes the usual no and reference number from ack. letter. i sent complain letter on thursday night and friday it was issued. not sure whether it was for the sake of complain they sent the letter.

got my invitation today 20/11/12 and done it on the same day, please can someone update skydrive. thanks

@ missniu, Yea, the lady that picked the phone gave me the liverpool address, do you have it ? i guess it should be on your acknowdgement letter

@ aksi, i recorn you send them a letter rather than email, as it takes time for them to responds to email, i have been waiting for their email for a week now. send them a registered mail and i am very optimistic something will happen before the end of this month

Valid point but then at least much better than the people in US where they got the Green Card Lottery system and many more complicated processes in place. Are we not far better than them? So, stay patient. You will get paid back.

My attempt was only to make you feel better as there are people with worst cases.

Received application back VOID as they couldn't take payment, think it was a card number wrong on the application. Have resent it so this is my new timeline:

Application Sent: 06/11/2012
Payment taken: 09/11/2012

Acknowledge Letter Dated: 08/11/2012
Biometric Letter: WAITING

My original application was sent off on 21st September so they took about 1.5 months to send it back saying they couldn't take payment.

Trying to stay positive, but I am seriously worried now.

I am the only one from July applicants who has not received the bio letter...
even people from the begiining of July started getting their passports back!!!

I dont really know what could have happened...
I called before and they dont give any information...


What can I do? I did not have any problems with my visas, passports or anything.

Any suggestions? I worry that maybe the letter was lost in the post...
I work in a University and if the name of the department is not included, then the letter can not get to me ...um... who knows... i dont kknow what to do ...
i got the acknowledgement letter fine and all other post!!

Called the UKBA again.

Luckilyl (thanks to GOD ), a very kind lady took my call.
I gave her my reference number and she looked into my details ( I was already on the system!!).

She said that the letter was sent on the 10th of november. But well I have not received it. We did confirm the correspondance address, etc. and it was all ok. So who knows where the letter may be!
ANyway, they will issue another one, but it may take upto 16 days ...
( she explain that she emails the case workers in Liverpool and it takes a while for them to read/act on their emails).

I will chase the post tomorrow here ( the central office at the University) and see if it was misplaced or something there!

Well at least I know there were not problems with my case!

Worry Not, i know its not easy but am very optimist, when you called what did they tell you ? were they able to get any info for you with the reference number on the acknowledgement ? Why dont you send them a letter just like i did yesterday, with that letter, hopefully it wont take long. Also, keep prayimg. God will intervene for all of us.

I had called some time in October ( probably a month ago when reaching the 3 months wait mark).

I would give it another week and try calling again to see if you are in the system. For what i have read in the forum from the date the letter is produced to the date you actually receive it can be upto ten days!!


Only God knows who got our cases and it is really slow!
( i just looked and you apply at the beggining of August).

Almost after 2 months that i have applied, I have got invitation for biometric this morning. What does this mean exactly? Is my application valid/approved or something else ?

Why would they want biometrics again when i already gave them earlier??
