Changes in Rules to affect British Citizenship

Post by AndyGandhi » Thu Nov 22, 2012 6:59 pm

Hi Boarders,

As per today's news, regarding the absences allowed for ILR, under work routes, what about the absences allowed for British Citizenship?
However, it is not clear yet, whether, absences of 180 days are allowed only in one year or all preceding 4/5 yrs. of ILR, but if it is 180x5=900, would it mean that for claiming British Citizenship, the absences upto 900 would be allowed, instead of 450, as per the present policies?
However in present policies, there are some margins allowed beyond 450days in last 5yrs.

Any views welcome.

Immigration rules have nothing to do with Nationality rules.
