That precise nature of the documents depend entirely on what type of official paperwork is emitted in your country and the nature of your business activity. Normally, historical bank statements and annual business accounts and/or business registration would serve the purpose.

So why did you say you were applying for a visa? Perhaps you mean you are hoping to sponsor someone who would like to apply for a visa? All you would need to for that are bank statements to show you have a regular cash flow; you don't have to be working.

Your last accounts duly certified by an accountant will suffice

Yes, they would, but are completely unnecessary and they don't actually prove anything with regard to sponsoring a visitor. Okay, so the guy has been working, but what of the actual money that is required to pay for the visitor's expenses? He may have spent it and have nothing to show of his income. All you actually need are bank statements!

Thanks you all for your kind information.

Actually the person to whome I am inviting has got enough funds to maintain himself.

So shall I still need to send my bank statements. Because I started selfemployement
Two week s ago and I was unemployed till then and my statements showing all public funds.

Thanks

And what will those statements show, if you are not earning (either from employment or self-employment) .. other than the money you receive from benefits?

Showing you are self-employed doesn't do anything .. if there is no income from the self-employment to prove to the ECO that you are maintaining yourself and your family in UK without recourse to public funds, and are capable of providing financial support to visitors on your own merit.

I don't think you are a suitable financial sponsor based on your circumstances. However, can I ask if the person actually needs to rely on your benevolence. Do they not have their own means?

So let him/her apply on that basis! All you need to provide is evidence of the family connection (it's a family application and will need that) and something that confirms your accommodation details. Don't provide any financials!
