Hello All,

I am back with more questions reagarding EC which I am planning to apply in next week. I would appreciate if someone can answer below question.

I am planning to ask my friend who is having FLR HSMP visa to send me email saying he will accomodate me when I will be in UK. Is email would be fine ?

Secondly he has sent all scanned copy through emails like tenancy agreements, his pay slips, his offer letter, his visa and bank statements. Is that OK if i print those scanned copies and present while applying for EC?

I would really appreciate if some one can answer this.

Thanks

Rejection

Post by hsmp28122006 » Fri Feb 02, 2007 11:15 am

EC got rejected and reason provided is as below:

"I have carefully considered your application. However, you do not qualify for a visa for the following reasons.

I have assessed your application against the criteria and points table for HSMP. My calculations, based on the documents you have submitted with your application, show that you are short of the minimum required points total by twenty points. Consequently I am not satisfied that false representations were not made and that all material facts were disclosed for the purpose of obtaining your immigration employment document."

This is the complet reason given by them.

I had applied from Bangalore to Chennai office through VFS bangalore.

They did not return my HSMP Approval letter back to me :( What can I do now?

Can I re-apply? How can I re-apply if they have taken my HSMP letter?

What else can be done?

I had provided all the documents as in HSMP application, except my birth certificate. Had claimed these points:

Age - 20
Degree - 30
Salary - 25

I had already told them that I have the birth cert too, but they did not attached that with the form.

Can't I re-apply? Is review the only option with me?

Hi ,
I also did not submit Birth certificate for visa .

For HSMP, I gave secondary school certificate as Birth certificate + notarized pass port

Since I am submitting Original passport , I thought it will be sufficient..

Any ways I will be loosing only 5 points ..

I am not sure what all we need submit .. somebody in this forum says no need of HSMP docs ..

Is there any way of sending additional docs for VFS (same as HSMP) ?

Chakri

hsmp28122006,

Sorry to hear about rejection. I read it somewhere on some other thread where the applicant was rejected and he reapplied using xerox copy of the approval letter.

Thanks

Which industry / business sector are you employed in ?? Surprising that they have asked you to undergo medical !!

Excerpts from the BHC India website:

----
Medical Examination For Work Permit Applicants

If you intend to travel to the United Kingdom to work in either the food & beverage industry, or in the healthcare industry, you will need to have a medical examination before your visa is issued.
The basis cost of the medical examination, chest x-ray and pathology test per applicant is:

* Rs 805 in Mumbai
* Rs 1000 in Delhi
* Rs 1000 in Chennai
* Rs 550 in Kolkata

This procedure will take an additional 12 working days, so please allow plenty of time for your application to be processed.

The Visa Officer will consider your application. If it is likely that you qualify for a visa, we will send your medical papers to VFS, attaching a set of instructions about the procedure you should follow and the names of the doctors on our panel who will medically examine you.

Update on my EC....

VFS contacted me today and have given me documents to undergo a medical exam. Interestingly, I have got all my original documents back except my HSMP approval letter and the passport. The letter I got says, I will get the passport 12 working days after my medical exam.

Lets see how things go

ukjobsforme,

I work as a 6-sigma black belt..so not really related to the industries mentioned on the website. I too saw the bit about medical examination, however, I had gone through a medical examination before my UK student visa too; so Its not that big a surprise! Anyhow, lets see what the result is going to be be.

Regards.

I am not sure about ideal amount.I showed around 4k pounds..property also around the same amount.

but one thing to remember is, if the property docs are in native language, you have to translate it to English and notarize the translation.

Thanks chakri ...

Another question would be would we need to mention all this on the cover page for EC like the conversion of the bank balance into pounds etc ....

What would be the ideal format of arranging the EC application ?

Any reference to the Cover page of EC ?
