My acknowledgement letter did not say anything about payments being confirmed, it only said if there was anything wrong with my application or payment the case worker will inform me.

What did your acknowledgement letter say - very worried as I travel for work and I need my passport and visa as soon as possible in the New Year.

My whole family's passport (wife and 3 children) was sent with the application.

Your advice is most welcomed.

I sent this via email to UKBA and cc'd my MP as well - fingers crossed

Dear Sir/Madam,

UKBA Reference Number: LR4************

I received an acknowledgement letter dated 26th November 2012 (attached), stating you had received my application but there was no mention of my payment which was made by postal order. On your website it states that postal order payments are instant but I have not received a receipt acknowledging my payment of £561.00.

There is also no mention of my biometric registration; as requested I sent all supporting original documents which includes the British passport of my wife and three children. I have been informed by one of your customer service agent that my application will only be processed when I give my biometric information. This is somewhat confusing and misleading as it states on your website that application will be processed as soon as it has been confirmed you have summited a valid form and cleared funds. It also states that the processing time in 75% of applications is four weeks but the customer services agent said this is after biometrics have been taken and that the biometric request will be made within three months of the acknowledgement letter, which is also misleading.

Can I please have a receipt of payment and my biometric request confirmation, if not can I please have clear indications what the process for applying is and the lead time please.

Best regards,

manjayx
