Mn1 application processing time query

Hi

I have applied for my sons registration as british citizen on 30th november and the fees got deducted today. Have applied through ncs. The processing time is currently 3-6 months. I have got travel plans in 1st week of february. Is there any way i can request to process the application bit quicker? Any email address or contact number which i can use to contact them and explain my circumstances?

What section is the application being made under? Section 1(3) or section 3(1)?

Section 1(3) applications tend to be dealt with quicker. That should be the case, after all they are "entitlement" applications, no UKBA discretion involved.

On what are you basing that? The timeline sticky seems to indicate 5 weeks for most applications.

Received the acknowledgement today and it says processing times are upto 6 months? In case i dont hear in 5 weeks or so than is there any way i can request to speed up as i have got travel plans? Thanks
