Advice on timing please

Post by mrmoges » Thu Dec 13, 2012 3:16 pm

The application is for my wife who came to join me on 4Dec2010 /date she entered England/

-I've lived in England since 2005 with ILR visa.
-Application for my wife sent through post on 22Oct and Confirmation letter received dated 29th Oct.
As for when she applied for her Spouse Visa, I've provided more that what they would possibly ask for. I was worried when she applied two years ago and they didn't even call her for interview, they only texted her to collect her visa after going through the documents i provided to sponsor her. I'm hoping things would go as smooth with this application as before.

My only question is, and forgive me because I'm clueless of the process and what I need to do, ...:

As stated above she entered UK on 4thdec10, and we applied 10 days before her 2 years from the day she arrived in the UK. Her visa on her passport is granted to expire on 08/FEB/13. If her process takes longer than the visa expiration date, what are we to do? I've only just found out about Biometric Visa, and ... Do i wait for another letter from them? Please if you have any questions to answer my question, ask me. due to a busy schedule, I have not done my research as I should have and I fell behind.
Many thanks in advance.

1. You /she applied during the validity of her visa. Good.
2. Applied during the 28 days leading to the 2 year completion _ no problem.
3. If her visa expires before you get a final answer: she is protected by '3C'.

for your own peace of mind do some research (Google) for 'ukba 3c leave'.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
