Student & PSW wouldn't count towards settlement (Other than 10 yrs Long Residence) Your FLR(M) started on 20/10/2012 which lasts until 20/10/2014, assuming that your sponsor has already got ILR I'd say 28 days before your FLR(M) expiry.

Normally not before 28 days of your visa expiry

I wish it was that easy...coz to Marry some one you don't need a spouse visa..it's a human right.

very clever system. like i applied last year and they started my visa from this year. one year has gone in the air. so it would be three years after marriage, i can apply for ILR.

Sadly yes it is clever!! why shouldn't it be? Think of a situation...A person comes into this country on a Student Visa (3 yrs) and somehow manages to marry someone within 6 months. Do you reckon he/she should be allowed to get Indefinite leave straight away...
you are lucky enough to fall into old rules...and thanks to the sham marriages, they've increased this 2 yrs qualifying period to 5 yrs and to add spice to it they got renew after 2 1/2 years...which means more money and time...
